Display Energy Certificates

Assess how a building is being used and rates its current energy efficiency

A Display Energy Certificate (DEC) takes into consideration the buildings energy consumption to assess how the building is being used and rates its current energy efficiency alongside providing recommendations for energy efficiency changes.

A DEC is required by law for public buildings of over 250m2, failure to display a DEC can lead to a penalty of £500, and £1000 for failing to possess or have a valid advisory report.

Our fully qualified Display Energy Certificate (DEC) assessors are able to undertake the necessary surveys for all building architypes and provide a rating and related certification and advisory report measuring the property’s energy efficiency and providing details of how the property’s rating could be improved.

Our officers will work with you to organise a site visit, conduct the survey and produce the DEC in a timely manner.
